Privacy and Cookies Policy

This page explains what information Symonds Creative collects through this website, why it is collected and how it is handled.

Last updated: 15 July 2026

Who we are

Symonds Creative is operated by Stephen Symonds and provides web design, branding and graphic design services.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Symonds Creative is the controller of personal information collected through this website.

Information collected

The website currently collects personal information only when you submit an enquiry through the contact form or contact Symonds Creative directly.

The contact form may collect:

  • your name
  • your business or organisation name
  • your email address
  • your telephone number, when supplied
  • the type of project you are interested in
  • the information included in your message

Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

How your information is used

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

  • read and respond to your enquiry
  • discuss a possible project or service
  • prepare an estimate, proposal or quotation
  • keep an appropriate record of previous conversations
  • provide requested services if you become a client
  • meet legal, accounting or administrative obligations

Your contact details will not be added to a marketing list unless you separately and clearly agree to receive marketing.

Lawful basis

Enquiry information is normally processed because it is necessary to respond to your request and, where relevant, to take steps before entering into a contract.

Information may also be processed on the basis of legitimate interests, including managing enquiries, keeping suitable business records and protecting the website and business from misuse.

Where information must be retained to meet a legal obligation, it will be processed on that basis.

Sharing your information

Symonds Creative does not sell your personal information.

Information may be handled by trusted service providers where necessary to host the website, deliver the contact form, provide email services, maintain records or meet legal obligations. These providers should only process information for the relevant service.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

How long information is kept

General enquiries that do not result in a project will normally be kept for up to 24 months, so previous conversations can be understood if you contact Symonds Creative again.

If an enquiry becomes a client project, relevant correspondence, contracts, invoices and project records may be kept for longer where needed for the working relationship, business administration, insurance, accounting or legal purposes.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted or securely disposed of.

Cookies and website tracking

This website does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, behavioural tracking or marketing pixels.

Symonds Creative does not currently place non-essential cookies for analytics or advertising purposes, so the site does not require a consent banner for those technologies.

The website host, contact-form provider or security systems may use strictly necessary technical storage or server records to deliver the website, transmit an enquiry, maintain security or prevent misuse.

This policy will be updated before optional analytics, embedded marketing services or other non-essential tracking technologies are introduced.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information held about you
  • ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected
  • ask for personal information to be deleted
  • ask for the use of your information to be restricted
  • object to certain uses of your information
  • ask for information to be transferred in a commonly used format
  • withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis

These rights are not absolute and may depend on the reason the information is being processed.

This policy may be updated when the website, contact form, services or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
